The title says it all- potty trained, not training!
Last week we I went to Walmart to get another box of diapers ($$$$)! I decided to try the Pull-ups idea which I always thought was the dumbest thing, but they princesses on them. On Friday I took Brecken to Target. She sees this "wedding dolly" and wanted it soooo bad. I told her that if she went pee-pee and poo-poo on the toilet and kept her underwear dry I would buy her a special surprise. That was a tall order, but Monday morning I asked her if she wanted to wear a diaper or underwear. "Underwear!" was the response. We talked about the special surprise if she kept dry. She talked about her wedding dolly all day. Brecken was soo good about telling me when she had to go.
*11 o'clock comes- still dry.
*Nap time comes- she wants to keep her underwear on.
*After nap time- still dry.
*3 o'clock- still dry.
*Lane comes home- still dry.
*Eat dinner- still dry!
*Go to Target to get her special surprise wedding dolly. "I have to go potty!" Granted, we are all the way across the store (as far away as physically possible- literally). I pick her up and run. "Don't have an accident- hold in your pee-pee" We arrive at the bathroom(public restrooms- YUCK!). Brecken, "I don't like it!" referring to the toilet. We beep Lane on the phone and tell him to go get the toilet seat from the car. She still wouldn't do it. So we buy the toy and race to Dave and Delpha's. By the time we got to the bathroom, she had accident. We couldn't make her feel bad. She worked so hard, finally gets her reward, and then the dumb public restroom grossed her out so she ends up having an accident(thank goodness pull-ups are working for "underwear")! Poor thing! We kept telling her how happy we were and how big she was! She must have liked it because she kept dry again today (except one accident that was totally my fault for not being within hearing distance)!!! Yeah for Brecken, our Big, BIG girl. I can't believe it!
Doesn't she look bigger already?! She loves her wedding dolly!

Potty Trained

Brecken is officially 2 1/2 today- I can't believe it! She is soo wonderful & we LOVE her. Every time we look at her we can't believe how HUGE she is- it's amazing. Now we understand why people always say it goes really fast soo soak it up! It don't know if I have soaked it up enough. Sometimes I wish I could turn her back to a baby, even just for a day, & just hold her. She is so big now that she doesn't want to rock. For bedtime, we read one book and try to rock for a couple minutes but Brecken always says, "I uncomfortable- put me in my bed." NO JOKE- that comes out of her mouth. More proof that she is no longer a baby.... no more binky. The day Deon brought baby Londyn home from the hospital Brecken wrapped up her binkies and gave them to Londyn. No tears- not even one & she loved her binky. She has done great- it has been 2 weeks. I guess she felt it was a good cause, although she sometimes say, "She need give them back"! Hopefully she won't resent her new cousin!
This is her last suck on her binkies- had to get a picture!
This is what happens with no nap after 11 o'clock church. 1st time passing out at home anywhere but her bed.
So Brecken has been loving Dr. Suess, Green Eggs and Ham. Last Wednesday I asked her what she wanted for breakfast, and she replied, "Green eggs and ham". When I said okay she was soo excited. I was noxious cooking them- it's just wrong!
"Thank you soo much" she kept saying. LOVED them!
It is always dress-up time at the Foulgers--- all Brecken's ideas.

White Christmas
So this is what we have been up to. Snow, snow, and snow. Funny story: we went and saw Santa Claus and I told Brecken to tell him what she wanted. She took and deep breath, and spit out, "I want a Sleeping Beauty dress, a wand, and a crown!" Not even shy! She has worn it almost everyday since christmas. Yes, we had a great Christmas!
So I am finally updating- I know it has been a long time! I have to show off her adorable costume, but first these are pictures of pumpkin decorating and the pumpkin patch
And here are the many variations of "mermaid princess" on the way to playgroup, the ward party, and with her friend Maylie. I know- what's with the fairy wings... she insisted. There were many variations thought up by Brecken!
& this is what she looked like for actual trick-or-treating! All the effort and she doesn't even wear it for the actual holiday!!!

Halloween
Brecken decided she wanted to be a princess for Halloween. I tried to talk her into being a fairy, but to no avail. My girl knows what she wants. When we went to the fabric store to pick out her pattern and fabric, and after looking at a bunch of patterns she saw the mermaid costume. "Mom: I be mermaid princess!"... and that was it- she had made her decision & there was no changing it! Too cute!
P.S. This was before Pocahantas was discovered & before the Pocahantas 'dress' was created. Brecken still has not changed her mind- she wants to be mermaid princess. Too bad because I love the thought of a quick 5-minute costume!

Pocahantas Princess
This morning Brecken watched Pocahantas for the first time and LOVED it! Near the end of the movie I relized I had fabric to make a quick 5-minute Pocahantas dress. Brecken thinks it is great, but I realized she needed a Pocahantas necklace. This is what we came up with... & she feels like an princess! If I was smart I would make this her Halloween costume but she has already decided on Mermaid princess and picked out her fabric...darn-it!
