"It's my birthday today!!!"

That is what we heard when she woke up, followed by, "I'm 3 years old!" No wonder she had a hard time going to bed last night. The excitement got the best of her!
Happy Birthday Brecken!!!

The happiest girl in the world. I declare myself the best mom in the world- look at that cake!!! I made it last night, and this morning I hear, "It's my birthday- I get a Tinkerbell cake now!" I was going to keep it a surprise until tonight. I opened the fridge when she was out of the room, but then I had to get one more thing for breakfast and she saw it. oh well! Now the excitement for the cake and party can last all day!

After breakfast Brecken got to decorate strawberries... yum, yum, yum!

Happy Birthday to our girl who turns 3 tomorrow! Where did my baby go?

Here is some of her cuteness: ....!

Ariel arrived for the hot weather. What a performance- songs, dance, and all!

***********************
Miracle: we were ready for church early! Just enough time for a photo shoot!!!

Brecken actually cooperated- looking at the camera and smiling. (Hard to do!)
*********************************

What do you do on a hot weekend? Go on a morning bike ride at the riverfront and finish off at the new water park!

What a good papa!

The ideal way to cool off on a blistering day. Note: separate day- love these waterparks. They are life-savers when you live in an area with practically no swimming pools!

Ward 4th of July breakfast- all dec'd out for the parade! That's the spirit!!! Too cute!

"Sac Town"

So if no one believes me, here is my proof- Brecken is always glitzed up. She has on approximately 8 necklaces, 4 bracelets, three rings ( notice the rock on here finger- I feel bad for the guy that wants to marry her... she has very high expectations!), and of course, the "Jasmine" headband. The GIRL of all girls!!!

So, our big summer event... Sydne, my best friend throughout all my childhood and teenage years, got married. Is her dress not amazing? Loved it. The wedding was at the capital park in Sacramento, California. Her new husband Brent is so sweet, and they are perfect together.

Her parents, (Dad above & mom below) are soo special to me and I LOVE them. They were my second set of parents. It was so great to see them. I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Brecken was soo excited, waiting for the "wedding girl". She couldn't wait for the wedding song or to see the wedding dress... or the prince.

Brecken couldn't get over how pretty Sydne looked. Do you see her neckline? That was the prettiest dress I've ever seen. I am soo glad I was able to be there.
I was Okay for the whole wedding (well, I teared up), but when the daddy-daughter dance came, I was a mess. I know how much her Dad loves her, and how she adores him. It was the sweetest thing, I don't think there was a dry eye there. Only to be topped by Brent, Sydne's husband, dancing with his daughter ( who is also named Sydney! 4). I wish I had pictures... TOO sweet.

My little sis, Robin

Family Time
Are my nephews not adorable? Reed, 4 (Jaynie's son) and Owen,

2 (Natalie's)

This is my and Lane's attempt to recreate our engagement pictures (wish I had those to show to compare to) -minus the sunglasses1

Highlight: I was finally able to meet Evelyn, Natalie's baby girl. She is adorable- first thing I thought when I saw her was, "WOW, she's a Boyack!" (She looks a lot like her dad) . Natalie had her a couple days after my last trip, isn't that how it always goes?!

Grossest moment: My nephews ran across the park yelling "We caught a fish! We caught a fish!!!" We were shocked, it was huge. They were soo proud. When they got close we saw it was a very much DEAD fish, a couple days dead... SICK! We made them sanitaze and wash their hands a million times before they touched dinner!

Our first day in California, we met up with my siblings John Paul, Ingrid, and Robin and went to Six Flags Marine World...such a blast. Brecken went on her very first ride...with Robin ( Lane and I apparently weren't cool enough!). Her is our proof of her being a dare devil.

That's my baby waaaayyyy up there! Dare devil- so unlike Brecken, who won't even jump off the couch!

Sooo FUN! Thanks to my siblings!
All-in-all, our trip was packed, fast, and furious! Brecken was amazing for the drive. No break downs, or potty mishaps!

So I am a total slacker- I know! So at this point I just do a bulk update and hope to not be such a slacker before the next post. SO, this is what we have been up to:

First and foremost- my adorable little sister, Robin, came to visit for Easter. Brecken LOVED Robin and I was replaced as 'mom' for a few days... quick story: 3 AM- we hear Brecken call out, "ROBIN, I have to go POTTY!!!" Lane and I fell apart laughing, straight out of sleep. It was the most random thing EVER- adorable!!!
Thanks for visiting- Brecken loves you!!!
And what would Easter be without a new pretty dress- doesn't she look pretty?!!!
And of course, the Easter Bunny... who she HATED and FREAKED out when she saw. After that she kept repeating that she didn't want the Easter Bunny to bring her a basket (but later added that she would allow him/her to bring her a dress)!!!!
& then there was the egg hunt- which we still do randomly at our house.
Aren't her little friends cute? This is Maylie and Jackson- Brecken thinks they are hilarious. She likes to sit back and watch- then decide if she wants to join in depending on the level of craziness!
& here's us!
Best friends! Stacia and I bought year passes to the Gilbert House- this was our first time going & it was a hit!
End of April we went to the Tulip Festival, which is gorgeous! The Utters, Watkins, and Sellers mom and kids came too- way fun!
And lastly, we went to the U of O Ducks scrimmage. Lane has season tickets, but I wanted to go to this with Breck because it was free- meaning we could leave at anytime! It was soo much fun, besides the monsoon weather. By mid-game it had dried up and we went back outside to watch. Brecken loved when we went and sat in front of the cheerleaders. She called them 'dancing princesses', but she got shy when one came to take a picture.
