Easter and more!

Our Easter was great. It started out with a ward Easter Brunch the Saturday before.

There was, of course, an easter egg hunt. ,...

and easter games. Brecken had to catch jelly beans with the bowl on her head- funny!

Rolling an egg with her nose

The lovely Activities Committee wearing their matching aprons- thanks to Stacia!

Brecken in her beautiful Easter dress, if I can say so myself. I love her cheesy smiles!

Easter morning- opening her basket

and our bunny cake for the family party. Brecken LOVED making this- she said it was "Awesome" and was the best part of her day.

All the cousins at our family party

Last month, I took Brecken to a "Big Sister/Brother" class at Salem Hospital.
She loved it and learned so much. She is soo excited to be a big sister and is so proud of herself.

They learned how they can help their mom, what to do in emergencies, facts about babies, how life at home would change, and how to hold a baby.

Here is Brecken practicing- soo proud!

We got to tour the hospital and see the room where Mom and baby would stay, and even see the nursery. She LOVED it!

At the end Brecken got to decorate a onsesie for the baby. She told the lady that his name was Rex- her pick! (I love that name too!)

She is ready, and just waiting to actually be a Big Sis.

A Very Merry Christmas

Happy Holidays... hope you all enjoyed yours- we certainly enjoyed ours. I think was our most relaxing and exciting one yet. The best part is how excited Brecken was... we were constantly reading Christmas stories, playing out the nativity, or singing Christmas songs.

Christmas Eve was at the Foulger's with all the family. Our little girly-girl had to wear her beautiful Christmas dress, of course!

SoOo excited- look at that face! Priceless!!!
Someone was excited to see all the presents!

Grandma Delpha made all the grandkids pajamas... Grant and Deacon's were Ninja outfits- AWESOME!!! The best Grandma ever!

Grant stricking some intimidating poses

Londyn got a babydoll from Aunt Jeanie and wouldn't put it down- adorable!

Dustin and Deon made these awesome marshmellow guns for Vaughn and his boys- they were a hit!

Christmas morning we opened presents and then went out for breakfast at Shari's (our new tradition!). Look how excited Brecken was when she saw what was under the tree. Note: She is wearing the nightgown Grandma made for her- isn't it cute?!

Brecken opened a Sleeping Beauty dress (pictured below) and exclaimed, "I wasn't bad!!!" Santa brought her exactly what she wanted, along with pink sparkly shoes. She must have been a good girl!

Our little family

I couldn't resist this picture in her new Tiana pj's.

Trying out her new scooter... not quite got it down yet!

And for my favorite presents...

Lane and I finally found a chandelier we both liked... and my handyman husband installed it himself.
Framed the vintage cowboy pictures Lane inherited from his grandpa for our little cowboy's room...
&

My favorite... David and Delpha gave each of their children a painting. See what we got?... I absolutely LOVE it!
How gorgeous it this painting? David- you are very talented and we are soo spoiled. Thank you

And now... every one have a wonder New Years!

So, I see Jenn Goldthorpe has updated her blog with her wonderful new arrival and she just had her baby two days ago... so now I know I have no excuse. Soo, deep breath and here is a quick update...

November 23rd... had our ultrasound and WoHoO... we are having a mini- Lane

To clarify: we are having a BOY!!! and we are soo excited. A little brother is just what Brecken wanted, so she is thrilled! Here's us before the appt.

I am now 23 weeks ( over 5 months!) and this little boy is very, very active! Love it!

On November 26th... drove to Sacramento for Thanksgiving. It was great, and the weather was amazing! I packed 4 different jackets for myself and did not use one- it was mid-70s. What a change to the cold in Oregon (why did I ever leave?!!!)

My little sister Robin had her farewell the following Sunday and is now in the MTC waiting to report to Salt Lake City Temple Square. Sorry, no pictures- they were all taken by everyone else (note to my family: please email me some of those pics!) The only pictures I have is of Brecken loving playing with her cousins... so sweet.

December 1... day after we got home from Sacramento, Lane decided to wake up with stomach pain and had to go to the ER. Thank you Nate for taking Lane to the hospital! (you win best neighbor and friend award for even answering the phone at 4:50 in morning!!!) Lane was diagnosed with appendicitis and had surgery later that morning. He has recovered quickly and is doing well. Highlight: the funny, sweet, and CRAZY things he said while all drugged up. He doesn't believe half the stuff I tell him he said- we've had some good laughs.

We have had colds. Rough month!

Lastly, last saturday, after Brecken patiently waiting since June, we took her to see "Princess and the Frog", the new Disney princess movie. It was soo fun! We made it a double family date with the Knapps and the girls loved it. Aren't they adorable?!!!

And now... on to Christmas! I can't believe it! Merry Christmas

Much needed update

Soo, the second and third months of pregnancy were vicious, but all done now! I am 18 weeks along and get to find out the sex of the baby in a little over a week- so anxious!!! It's weird that I can find out because I don't even look pregnant, just a little thick. Knowing will make it more real, but I will tell you that this is a active little baby. Too cute!

A lot has happened these last two months,...

My little sister Robin was called on a mission to Salt Lake City, Temple Square and reports Dec. 9th. Soo proud of her and excited for her. I think she will LOVE that call. We are going to Sacramento for Thanksgiving because she is going to have her farewell that Sunday- so excited!

Of course, there was Halloween. Brecken loved trick-or-treating with her cousins. Isn't she an adorable Snow White!

Brecken's crazy grandparents really got into the holiday. Aren't they fun?! Next year I will be more fun and maybe dress up

Brecken with her little friend Maylie. Do you see a personality difference?! Brecken is as girly as they come and refuses to wear pants. Isn't Maylie the cutest superhero ever. Stacia, good work on the costume-I absolutely LOVED it and am amazed she kept the mask on.

And of course, we took a trip to the pumpkin patch and had soo much fun.

Here are some random pics of our baby:
Brecken being her everyday girly-girl....this is her norm (playing barbies and wearing a dress)!

She grew out of her toddler bed, so this is her new bed. She loves it!

Showing off her preschool art. They learned about the 5 senses. Ears to hear, eyes to see. I love the little things she comes home with- it's my favorite part!
